The New England Collection is especially meaningful to us because the print was created by Cosanila intern Riley Borst in 2023. While studying at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, Riley also had the unique opportunity to learn the traditional art of hand block printing in Jaipur, India—an experience that beautifully reflects the spirit of Cosanila.
Inspired by the charm and character of coastal New England, Riley's original print features a collection of beloved regional icons, including the shape of Cape Cod, the Sankaty Head Lighthouse, a lobster, a whale tail, a beach chair, and an oyster. The result is a timeless design that celebrates the places, traditions, and simple pleasures that make New England so special.
Today, Riley works at Echo Designs in NYC and freelances with other prestigious brands including Anthropologie.
