HYANNIS, MA – Love Live Local is launching a new retail experience in downtown Hyannis this spring with the debut of the Love Local Pop-Up, featuring Atlantic Soap Co. and Cosanila. The two Cape Cod-based brands, known for their handcrafted soaps and artisan-crafted textiles, will take over a dedicated space inside the Love Local Shop, opening in late April 2025, with a grand opening celebration on May 10th.
The initiative is part of Love Live Local’s Small Business Incubator Program, which provides local entrepreneurs with the opportunity to test retail concepts, grow their customer base, and scale their businesses. The program is funded in part by the Barnstable License Plate Grant, supporting economic resiliency for Cape Cod’s independent makers.
"Both Atlantic Soap Co. and Cosanila represent what makes Cape Cod’s small business community so special—thoughtful craftsmanship, coastal inspiration, and a deep commitment to quality," said Jen Villa, Executive Director of Love Live Local. A Collaboration Rooted in Coastal Craftsmanship
The Love Local Pop-Up brings together two brands that celebrate the intersection of artistry and nature.
For Caroline Laye, founder of Atlantic Soap Co., the pop-up offers an opportunity to share her handmade, ocean-inspired soaps in an immersive setting.
"Every bar of soap I create is infused with the textures, scents, and spirit of the Atlantic Ocean, from the seawater I source in Woods Hole to the coastal landscapes I translate into design," said Laye. "I love the idea of bringing my vision to life in this shared space with Michele and Love Live Local."
Cosanila, founded by Michele McCoy, will showcase its hand-block printed summer dresses, kaftans, and luxurious linens, inspired by the effortless beauty of seaside living.
"Cosanila was created to capture the textures and patterns of coastal life—fabrics that feel timeless, elegant, and inspired by the natural world," said McCoy. "This collaboration with Love Live Local and Atlantic Soap Co. is a perfect fit, allowing us to bring a curated experience to the Cape Cod community."
Both brands are alumni of the Cape Cod chapter of EforAll’s Business Accelerator Program and members of the New England Coastal Creative (NECC), a collective dedicated to elevating coastal creatives and brands.
Grand Opening Celebration – May 10th
To mark the launch of this new retail experience, Love Live Local will host a grand opening celebration on May 10rd, 2025, inviting the community to meet the founders behind the brands firsthand. Special giveaways and in-store promotions will be available throughout the event.
The pop-up will remain open throughout the remainder of 2025, offering a curated selection of handcrafted, Cape Cod-inspired goods that bring the essence of the coast into everyday life.
